Okay, so here's my question. Is Klingon grammar the same as english? Because if so that's kind of disappointing.

Not even close. Marc Okrand wrote it up to be fairly unique. Compound nouns and verb forms are vaguely similar to German (i.e. they accrete, but only to a point), and verb actions sometimes combine with words to make a word that is an action, object, and subject all in one. It also has verb "aspect" instead of tense: whether a verb is completed/yet to be completed, and whether it's ongoing or finite.

"QaghHommeyHeylIjmo'" is a one-word accretion of 1 word + 5 suffixes for "due to your apparent minor errors", in the order "error + diminutive + plural + apparent + your + due to". (Example from the dictionary for suffix order)

As an aside, the stray capital letters are because of different pronunciation H:h etc.
